Do I have access to a mortgage in Italy?

The mortgage loan is the typical loan contract provided for by our system and almost always one of the parties of the contract is represented by a bank.

In order to obtain a loan you just need to go to a bank and provide the documents that they require. When you request a mortgage loan and you need clarifications you can refer, in addition to the bank, also to consumers’ associations and to your notary, whose intervention can be used in the best possible way in order to have all the advice and necessary informations related to the operation. It is not necessary to make use of a credit intermediary (for example a credit agent or a financial agent): in case that happens, the costs of the operation are destined to grow according to the fee that will have to be paid to the intermediary, which sometimes is a percentage of the loan amount.
